3/12/12 – Clean Fundamentals

Team 101% is currently sitting in 36th place for our Northern California Region.  We’re holding our own and are in the hunt to advance to the next level of the competition.  Thank you again for putting out your best efforts in the workouts and supporting each other through either judging or just cheering each other on like lunatics.

I’ve figured out what the difference is when people scream/yell/grunt during workouts.  The difference is the energy behind the yell.  I’m not talking about how loud the yell is, but what kind of energy is being projected.  Yells that are used to refocus an individual are concise, powerful, and positive.  The flip side are yells that are done out of frustration and/or fear.  Those illicit a feeling of self pity and we have no room for that in our training.  Save your yells for when you really need it, because we need to learn to suffer in silence first.
