About Me
I was never that big into fitness, but after coming across CrossFit, it has completely changed my life for the better.  Now, I’m just trying to pay it forward.

Out of college, I found myself working long hours at a tech company, sitting in a cubicle all day, downing energy drinks and fast food, and becoming increasingly overweight and stressed out. I wanted to get back into the gym and use something besides food and alcohol as coping mechanisms. After unsuccessfully trying many health magazine routines and “DVD” workouts, I came across some CrossFit videos online where I watched gladiator like men and women perform workouts that were incomprehensible to me at the time. What I could comprehend was that all these people who were doing CrossFit were ridiculously fit and I wanted to find out how they got that way. After a month of researching (more like stalling), I tried my first CrossFit workout, one which I will never forget for the rest of my life, and become hooked.

After 3 months of doing CrossFit, I lost 30lbs and was in the fittest shape of my life. After over 2 years of doing CrossFit, I can only say that it has improved my life in every way possible.

I have always had a passion for leadership and teaching, and CrossFit presented me a unique opportunity to apply that passion towards helping others benefit from the same results that I found from doing CrossFit. After leaving the industry that I went to school for, I now find myself leading a dedicated staff that shares my same passion in teaching others about CrossFit and showing them a different way towards a fitter life.

About our Community
From 6 to 60, big or small, been working out or have not worked out in years, our mission has always been to help people leave our doors in a better condition than when they entered, regardless of what state they start in. Many companies have mottos and slogans; we try our best to live our motto of “No Judgment, Just Love”.

I have been blessed with a diverse community of hard working athletes and an equally hard working staff. Our community started with about 6 people who were crazy enough to train with me outdoors at a local park.  After about six months, our family went from 6 to 86 and we found ourselves in much need of a permanent facility to train out of. We moved into our current facility at the end of September in 2010 and have been continually building up our capacity to help people CrossFit and now find ourselves with a family of over 186 students.

There are many established gyms and many knowledgeable coaches out there and I urge you to find the right one that fits what you are looking for. All my staff and I offer is a commitment to helping others change their lives for the better.

About CrossFit Workouts
They consist of constantly changing, functional movements, that are done at a relatively high intensity.

Movements such as the squat (think sitting/standing from a chair), deadlift (picking up a heavy object from the ground), and shoulder press (storing a box on a high shelf) are tools everyone needs for their day to day lives. CrossFit puts these movements into sets that are highly effective at stimulating your body to adapt. That’s what sets CrossFit apart and that’s where the magic is.

Unlike using the machines at your local gym, CrossFit requires skill development of body control to do the movements correctly and most importantly, safely. If you want a new challenge that will give you a high rate of return on your time and energy, this is it.
