People Are Our Purpose

Last Friday, my beautiful wife and I attended a church service with guest speaker, Kris Vallaton, an author of many prophetic books.  His message was that we all have a purpose in life and that we will never fulfill that purpose until we get the right people in our lives. Our purpose and “our people” are intertwined.

That message resonates with me especially when I think of CrossFit101.  I love CrossFit101.  I believe we have the greatest community and people take notice. (Check out the sea of blue on the Crossfit Games front page from Monday).  We were all put in this particular CrossFit family for a specific reason. For some it’s pretty straight forward– to get more fit– for others it’s deeper. Maybe your purpose here is to create lifelong friendships, to gain more confidence, or to become a leader. For some it’s literally been life transforming and even life saving.

We may not be the strongest or the fastest gym, but we are the greatest CrossFit community.

I encourage you to reflect on the role CrossFit101 has played in your life and give thanks. Have an attitude of gratitude.  My coaching tip today goes beyond the gym… Find your purpose and find your people.
