SKILL WORKOUT OF THE WEEK
Stretching to remove the fuzz.
Fascia or fuzz is connective tissue that builds up around muscle, organs, nerves and blood vessels. This connective tissue allows muscle to slide smoothly. However, it can limit the range of mobility if there is too much fuzz. Fuzz is generated daily so removing them is important to allow muscle flexibility.
One of the best ways to remove fuzz is to stretch daily. Stretching allows for better range of motion. Olympic movements are not always about how strong an athlete is but how flexible they are to perform the moment.
We warm-up to raise the heart rate, lubricate the joints, and raise the temperature of the body. Use this time to focus on stretching to remove the fuzz. The better you warm up the better you perform during the WOD.
